Shakira Causes A Commotion In Times Square
The Latina diva Shakira hadn't released a new disc for two years, but her new one, 'Fijacion Oral,' (Oral Fixation) is being sucked up by the public like pacifiers into babies' mouths. The star appeared yesterday, for five minutes, at the Times Square Virgin Megastore. Fans were lining up as early as 8am for Shakira's noontime appearance; only those who came the earliest and bought Fijacion Oral were given passes to greet Shakira for an autograph. When she did appear, thousands screamed her name and generally lost their minds. "Te amamos" placards were everywhere; Shakira thanked everybody for the support. The Bosh sends out a special 'besote' (big kiss) to Shakirita. (By Scott Rose)
